Speaking of tamarind, in Indonesia there are a lot of tamarind. The characteristics of this fruit is the flesh and the skin is brown. The fruit is very acidic so it is not recommended for people with stomach such as ulcers or typhus. Sour fruit rich in vitamin C, pro vitamin A, minerals calcium, potassium and phosphorus. This fruit helps remove phlegm, cough, constipation and overcome disturbances in the digestive tract. In addition tamarind also contain pectin, fiber, ellagic acid and khlorogenic acid.

Each 100 g of tamarind contains 266 kcal of energy, protein 2.8 g, fat 0.5 g, 62.5 g carbohydrates, 74 mg calcium, phosphorus 113 mg, 0.6 mg iron, 9 mcg of retinol and ascorbic acid 2 mg .
